Nintendo Wii Console, Best Prices

Nintendo have now officially launched the new DSi XL handheld console in the UK.

Initially availble in two colours, Wine Red and Dark Brown, the DSi XL has a much larger screen with a greater viewing angle.

With all the features of the previous DS models, two games are also pre-installed - Dr Kawashima's: Little Bit of Brain Training and Dictionary 6 in 1.

Wii Fit Plus has become the first video game to be endorsed by the National Health Service.

Already used in some hospitals to aid recuperating patients, Wii Fit Plus will use the NHS's Change4Life logo in it's marketing. This programme encourages healthier eating and excercise, and is believed to be the first collaboration between a government body and a video game company.

Wii Fit Plus is released on 30th October 2009 priced initially at £74.99.

Nintendo have announced the UK release of the sleek looking Wii Black Console.

Due for release on the 6th November 2009, for once the UK gets priority over the US (No Release Date) and the rest of Europe (20/11).

The Black Wii Console will be Limited Edition and comes bundled with the original Wii Sports and the newer sequel Wii Sports Resort. Black controllers are included. No official RRP has yet been announced.

As previously reported, the new official Nintendo Wii package incorporating Wii Sports Resort has been released today (2nd Oct). Amazon currently have this priced at £179.99 with Free Delivery.

The UK may not have seen an official price drop, but this new Wii package is certainly much better value for money.
